In the list of occupations in the book, one female name appears, 'Jeffrey, Harris?, s. of Elizabet. J. of Kinsale, Baker, bd. to Gibbs Ross of C. cooper, 8 Feb., 1780'. Other cases appear of apprentices being bound to a man and wife.

Included in the middle of this enrolling book is City of Corke Book of Enrollm:t of Apprentices in the Town Clerk's office begun the 26 day of Feb. 1733. This ends 1751. It includes the names of female apprentices, for example, Mary Higgins was bound to John Inggulis, Master of the Mary [Slorp?] of Boston for five years, 1734. It includes sales , for example, in 1747 Grace Blood, 'Brigdell of C. widow sold one bay gelding about 15 hands high to Philip Heart of C. brewer, for £4"11"0'.
