Return of Outrages, 1848-1878:
Printed return of outrages reported to the Constabulary Office for each year. Also includes details of homicides specially reported from 1870-1878.
Examples:
Annie George, housekeeper, died from the effects of burns received, her husband, John George, having thrown a paper containing gunpowder into the fire where she was at the time cooking----, Belfast, 25 March 1870.

Kate McKee, dealer in eggs, was murderded by some person or persons at present unknown. Her body was found in a field in Killeen, the face presenting a black swollen appearance, with blood oozing from the mouth and left ear, the murder having evidently been accomplished by strangulation. It was supposed that her person had been violated, but nothing certain has transpired. It has been found impossible hitherto, to procure evidence, Clare, 9 February 1870.
