Description | Manuscript of the establishment [in 1625] of the Poor Clares in Ireland. Copies from the original manuscript written by the third abbess of their convent in Galway, Mother Mary Bonaventure Brown, early nineteenth century. A register of the most remarkable occurrences that have taken place, respecting our Order in this country from its first establishment--1625 to the present day, 1826 (continued until 1830 with an account of some Irish Poor Clares who emigrated to Spain taken from Mother Mary Bonaventure's memoirs (original in the possession of the Order). Annals of the Poor Clares copied in 1901, containing an account of the destruction of the town of Gravelines, 1654, an account of the Poor Clares in Gravelines during the French Revolution and a copy of the manuscript entitled a register of the most remarkable occurences, etc., to 1904. |
