Description | Ellen Duncan Correspondence, 1914-1922: Letter from Hanna Sheehy Skeffington to Ellen Duncan. Duncan has been overlooked for the award [salary increase] but the matter will come up again. 'Sheehy Skeffington has spoken to Mrs McS. about her case and would support it at the Library committee but missed the last meeting due a raid on her house. The woman who opposed the award had got the impression that Sheehy Skeffington's favourite sport was killing policeman but she has been persuaded to consider the case favourable the next time it comes up', c.1920-1921. |
