| Description | Women's Meeting: Minutes and names of representatives, 1785-1840. Volume includes the minutes and names of representatives from each province at the National Yearly Women's Meeting held in Dublin. Contains a list of the Queries for Women Friends as settled at each of the Yearly meetings. The details of the queries are not usually given. Minutes consider epistles from other meetings, in Ireland and abroad. Men friends appear to be involved in each of the meetings. 30 April 1804 'The following friends are appointed to join a committee of men friends, to take under consideration the fate of the minutes, and advises, respecting the marriages of those who are related to each other in the degree of second cousins'. 1 May 1817 'An Epistle has been sent us by Men Friends, and read, from the yearly meeting of friends of Ohio, held at Mountpleasant in 1815, addressed to that of London, also an interesting extract, made to the yearly meeting of friends held in Philadelphia in 1815, by its committee for promoting the improvement and gradual civilization of the Indian Natives, likewise a report to the yearly meeting of friends for the state of New York from its committee, on the same subject, dated 28 May 1815. 1 volume. |
