DescriptionWomen's Meeting:
Epistles, 1800-1825.

Volume contains answers to queries from the quarterly meetings from the different provinces. Only the answers are included, not the actual queries themselves.

1800-1801 'Early care is taken to admonish such as are known to be in danger of marrying in a manner contrary to the rules of our society; and if occasion offered, to report to the men's meeting, in due time, such as persisted in refusing to take counsel'.

27 March 1809 'Some friends, we believe, endeavour, by example and precept, to train up their children, and those under their care, in a religious life and conversation consistent with our Christian profession, in the frequent reading of the Holy Scripture, and in plainness of speech, behaviour and apparel, the fruits of deficiency in this respect, in many instances are obvious, particularly in deviation in plainness of apparel; it does not appear from the answers now received, that admonition has been recently imparted to the remiss'.
The replies and the queries are formulaic and are answered, in a particular order, at each meeting, 1 volume.
