Description | Land at Greyfriars: Manuscript extract from charter of King Henry VII, 15 August 1744, granting lands to the Master Brethren and poor of Waterford. Charter establishes hospital of the Holy Ghost in the late monastery or religious house of Friars. 'Minors of the said city commonly called the Greyfriars of Waterford not long since suppressed and dissolved. Delcares also that Master Brethren and the poor are one body corporate with perpetual succession'. Extracted at the offices of O'Brien and Howard, Solicitors Waterford, 6 items. |
