Description

No 1 Lease of a slate house and walled garden near to New Street, Waterford by Samuel Penrose to William Marchant, dated 25 day of April 1758. Lease for 30 years for rent to £4.11.O per annum. This is numbered 'No 17' It also has a number of endorsements or extensions one to Edward Howis dated 1764 also that this was in trust for the Friends Meeting of the people called Quakers and assigned to (?) John Hutchinson, Joseph Jacob and Joshua Strangman dated 20 day of April 1764. Signatures and text of endorsements are sometimes difficult to read.

No 2 Lease of part of the lands of Newtown by the trustees of Munster Quaterly meeting to trustees for Waterford Monthly meeting for use as a burial ground dated 18 day of October 1839.
Names of trustees, Joshua William Strangman John Malcomson, Thomas White Jacob, also George White, Henry Ridgeway, Joshua Strangman, Joseph Waring and Henry White, rent œ10 per annum.

No 3 Deed of conveyance of burial ground bounded by the lane leading to Saint John's Churchyard to new trustees dated, 17 day of 6 month 1845. Original trustees William Wright, George Wright, Joshua Fennell and Stephen Collett all long since dead. John Fennell great grandson and heir to the longest surviving trustee now transfers property to Joshua Strangman Richardson George White, Henry White, Joseph Waring an Henry Thomas Humphries.
