Description | Soft bound volume of typescript copies of the out-letters of Edmund McGildowney, Ballycastle, agent for the estates of the Antrim family, copied from the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland [reference D/1375) and containing letters to numerous women, mainly concerning financial matters such as rents, loans and inheritance, 1820-1822. Handwritten notebook of gravestone inscriptions, including copies of inscriptions for numerous women in the Ballymoney area, no date. Handwritten notebook, including copies of extracts from wills of persons connected with Ballymoney town and district copied from the index to prerogative wills of Ireland, 1536-1810, and listing numerous women, their addresses and date of death, the date of compilation is not noted. This book also includes a copy of a list of inhabitants of the town of Ballymoney which notes for example, Elizabeth Reid, a charwoman, living in Meeting House Lane; Jenny May Peoples, an old maid and a Presbyterian, living in Meeting House Lane; the Misses Robinson, milliners, Episcopalian, living in Main Street; Widow Henry, a publican and a Presbyterian, living in Main Street; Mrs Perry, an old lady, Presbyterian, living in Main Street; Lizzie McClelland, a huckster and a Presbyterian, living in Main Street and Peggy Currie, who ran a cookshop and was Roman Catholic, living in Main Street, c.1906. Handwritten notebook, containing a copy of a list of inhabitants of Ballymoney, c.1824. This volume lists for example, Mrs Eliza Hopkins, a grocer in Main Street; Mary Nickle, a publican, Main Street; Miss Parker, a straw bonnet maker in Church Street. This notebook also contains a similar list of inhabitants for Ballymoney, 1856; a copy of a religious census for Ballymoney which lists the names and religious denominations of several women, 1766; a copy of a list of Protestant housekeepers in Ballymoney which includes several women, 1740 and copies of the Hearth Money Rolls for Ballymoney parish, which include the names of several women, 1666 and 1669. The date of compilation is not noted.
