Description | A detailed calendar of this collection of c200 documents is available. The collection includes correspondence of the McKee family, Armagh which contains several letters from female family members, such as Eliza and Margaret McKee. In addition, the collection also contains: D/1821/1/14 An invitation from Sister M Evangelist White, Our Lady of Mercy Convent, Ardee to Revd. H McKee, Drogheda to attend a reception ceremony, 30 April 1871. D/1821/3/3 A personal diary of Francis McKee, Armagh, in which he makes numerous passing references to women, 1867. For instance, 'Had a letter from Kate', 28 March 1867; 'Wrote to Kate - a cry of anguish', 29 March 1867; 'Wrote to Kate [-] a long letter explaining to her exactly in what terms she and I stood', 5 April 1867; 'Had a letter from Kate which while agreeing to my proposal does so in a disagreeable manner', 24 May 1867. |
