c.4,500 documents relating to the Earls and Viscounts of Shannon and other members of the Boyle family of Castlemartyr, County Cork, 1687-c.1900. A detailed calendar of this collection is available. The collection includes, for example:
52 letters to Lord Shannon from his wife, Charlotte, mainly concerning their financial difficulties but also commenting on English politics, 1750s-1764.

26 letters from Charlotte, Viscountess Shannon (nee Ponsonby), to her husband, including references to debates in the English House of Commons and Irish and English politics, 1760-1980.

39 letters to Lord Shannon from his sister in law, Charlotte Bolye Walsingham, 1783-1786.

26 letters from Lady Catherine Henrietta Bernard, later Countess of Bandon, to her parents, Lord and Lady Shannon, mostly written in French, 1784-1809.
