DescriptionThe papers of John Aiken McClelland consist of 150 volumes and c900 documents relating to the Orange Order, genealogical matters and including several letters from women requesting information on family members, 1960s-1980s. The following documents are also included in this collection:
Warrant to Margaret Chassells to hold a ladies' Orange Lodge, number 10 at Athens, County Leeds, Canada, and act as mistress, 1892.

Minute book of the Dublin Protestant Association regarding investigation into improper behaviour and infanticide, 1861-1864.

Notebooks of John Aiken McClelland on various genealogies, c1970-1980. For example, a notebook outlining the pedigree of Mary Fisher of Carryduff, County Down, c1970-1980, and a notebook including a poem 'Mrs Mulholland's trial and execution for the murder of her husband in County Armagh', c1970-1980.
