Description

6 diaries of James Harshaw of Donaghmore, County Down, 1818-1864. The diaries make numerous references to women with regards to marriages, deaths and the religious revival of 1859. For example, he notes that he 'visited 'Anne and found her flushed, and confused but in a religious state of mind and in a state of repentance and under apparent sorrow for sin. I was very glad to find her in such a s state of mind', 13-14 August 1859.
