HA/5/804; HA/5/1149; HA/5/2016 Files relating to the case of Josephine Moore, convicted of murdering her child, including letter from Miss E S Montgomery, Belfast Women's Advisory Council, asking why the Infanticide Act 1922 (England) did not apply in Northern Ireland; with reply stating that the Act did apply, but that it was only applicable in the case of a woman who causes the death of her newborn child, Moore's child being fifteen months old, 1922-1928.

HA/5/1152 A file relating to application of Maria Forte, whose uncle was an ice-cream vendor in the Falls Road, Belfast, to stay in Belfast for a further six months to perfect her English; with further correspondence about refusal to let her stay permanently, her uncle being willing to buy her a shop, because this may lead to eventual displacement of British labour, 1929-1930.
