Inhabitants are listed by street and their trade, religion and number of children and servants in the household are noted, including the names of numerous women. For example: Widow McCullough in Market Street, a shopkeeper, Presbyterian, with 2 sons, a daughter and no servants Widows Willis and Nicholson in Little Meeting Street, listed as poor, Presbyterian, with no children or servants. George Parkes and wife in English Street, wife listed as Presbyterian, 4 children, no servants, 'wife keeps pub house'. Widow Murphy in English Street, ran a pub house, Papist, no children or servants. Margaret Cowan in Little Meeting Street, 'teaches children to read', Church of Ireland, no children or servants. Miss McCann and 4 sisters in Scotch Street, milliners, Church of Ireland, no children or servants. Widow Blackeney in Scotch Street, keeper of infirmary, Papist, daughter Church of Ireland, 4 children, no servants. |
