Female Bounty Fund, c.1818-1860.
Three bundles of loose letters regarding the 'Munster Female Bounty Fund'. First bundle, 1818-1850.
First bundle contain certificates confirming marriages of female servants, giving details of where they worked, the length of time, etc. It also contains the minutes of the meeting of the subscribers to the 'Munster Female Bounty Fund', listing those attending meetings, names of women to whom the £30 grant was made, changes in the members of the committees and the trustees, alterations to rules laid out at the foundation of the bounty, annual statement of the accounts of the Fund.
Second Bundle, 1806-1847 Smaller bundle of letters, concerned with the same issues as the first bundle, in addition there are the minutes of the Quarterly Meeting of the Ministers and Elders of the Munster Meeting regarding the Female Bounty Fund.
Third bundle, 1856-1860 Small bundle of letters concerning similar issues, there is a rough list accompanying this collection. Also in the box are five pages of correspondence dated 1995 regading the closing down of the 'Munster Handicraft Fund' and the donation of its remaining funds to the 'Munster Female Bounty Fund'. |
