| Description | Sufferings and Tithes: QMII/G1 Sufferings of Friends in Munster Province 'because for their conscience sake they could not pay tithes and priests' wages, the repair of their worship houses, etc' 1750-1811. Volume contains lists of the friends, the value of the tithe, etc. The majority of the friends' listed are male, but there are some female friends. The accounts of the amount involved, etc, are recorded in the far right column, the annual returns are given under the headings: 'Total of Friends Sufferings returned this year' subdivided into 'For Tithes and Priests Maintenance, Vestry Rates, Clerks wages', 1 volume. QMII/G2 Sufferings of Friends' in Munster Province, 1812-1863. Similar to previous volume. The Annual financial returns are slightly more detailed, contains returns of tithes for each meeting at Cork, County Tipperary, Waterford, Limerick and Youghal. There are more female friends listed in this volume, 1 volume. |
