Description | 4 volumes of negative photostat copies of the diaries of John Ynyr Burges, Parkanaur, Castlecaulfield, County Tyrone, in which he describes day to day events with afterthoughts and hindsights, 1818-1883. The diaries were possibly copied by one of Burges' daughters to whom he also dictated some passages which are akin to reminiscences. The diaries include, for example, descriptions of Lady Blessington, Lady Balyney, Lady Abercorn, Miss and Mrs Balfour. |
