For example, copy of a letter from Lissie Gilmore to her uncle, Robert, 'I have just left school and am helping at home in the shop with my sister. My sister Mary keeps all the books for father. ...We will be very glad to hear from you or some of the family especially some of the girls. I often wish they would write and tell us what they are doing. I am now fifteen years of age and I am the baby of the family', 28 July 1903. |
