| Description | Schools and Education: Box file containing: Bundle of twenty copies of a printed Report of the Leinster Provincial School (Mountmellick), March 1847 Report from the Managing Committee of Mountmellick Provincial School, no date. Includes details of the men and women friends appointed to examine the education of the boys and girls, statement of accounts, list of school committees, (eighteen men and twelve women), lists of subscribers and amounts donated, staff, details of the total number of children in the school and the number of girls and boys admitted Declaration by George A Hanks, whose grandfather, Jeremiah Hanks, bequeathed sum of œ92 to Mountmellick School. George Hanks sought the return of the money, no date Slim book c19th century, would appear to be an index to a volume, possible minutes, from Mountmellick school Bundle of Mountmellick Provincial School Accounts, 1919, 1920 and 1922 Bundle of Mountmellick School 'final accounts and receipts', 1923 Loose bound ledger concerning the children in the Mountmellick school, the length of time each child spent in the house, some household accounts, 1850-1855 Superintending Committee [?] Quarterly Reports to the Provincial School Committee, 1824-1834, detailing numbers of children in Mountmellick School, and the number of vacancies, admissions, children withdrawn, etc. Provides the names of the children and the length of time they spent in the school Soft and loose bound book, 1815-c1850. Book in bad condition containing adhered tickets of admission to Mountmellick school. Tickets contain the child's name, date of birth, parents' name and signature of sponsor. Some are hand-written and some printed. |
