Copy of a letter from W. Poppleton, Saint Helena to Lieutenant General Sir Hudon Lowe, in which he refers to nurses employed by Countess Bertrand and Countess Montholon and noting 'a [native] woman wife to the...gardener was the first as Wet Nurse - then a Mrs. Quilty, [aged] 66', June 1817.
