This collection of 40 documents have been copied from L'Estrange and Brett Solicitors, Belfast. The collection includes, for example:
Memoranda giving the dates of birth of the Neilson family, no date, c.1780.

A letter from Thomas Graham, Hull to Rosa Maingay, encouraging her to study and remarking, 'what is a pretty face and a good shape, without a well cultivated mind, now is the time you should do that, you are now in your 14 year therefore I expect no more childish letters from you but very sensible ones and always let me know what you are learning', 26 October 1855.

A letter from Alexander Maingay, Malacca to his sisters, noting that 'Eliza can come out to India when I am married if she desires it, but any such arrangement would be at present the height of absurdity', 4 April 1865.
