Description | Copy of the vestry book of Greyabbey Parish Church, County Down, 1789-1823. For example, it is noted that it was 'resolved (in the case of a child left by the mother Mary McQuiod a vagrant at the reputed father's and by his sister laid at the door of James Blair by whose wife it was taken in] that the church wardens be authorised to make provision for the said child until the child can be otherwise provided for and that in the meantime all proper steps should be taken to have the child returned to its mother or other relatives', 31 July 1821.
