Postal arrangements. departures, repatriation, have been engaged on a survey of all the people in Hadjikyiriakon Assembly Centre for outgoing Displaced Persons to report on the ineligibles there. 'A lot of people are political refugees, and are what is know as UNO problems, but are not strictly UNRRA responsibility, and who should really be in the Ministry's camp at Syros, We can now do something to help the Aliens Bureau deport the Germans and Austrians who want to return to central Europe ... What is more, this includes those who contracted unsuccessful marriages'.

We do share a concern that the small number of 'hard core' displaced persons in Greece are not forgotten, and I hope that as long as there is some chance of our influencing the policy with regard to their treatment, you will feel able to remain in Athens'.

67 Two page minute of the Overseas Committee of the Friends' Relief Service referred to in 65 a-b and 66 above. 'It is recommended that Friends' Relief Service should withdraw from work in Greece over the next 12 months but seek continuation of certain long term work by more appropriate bodies'. Suggestions for various ways of implementing this statement. Athens 'We agree that Stella Webb should remain in repatriation work in Athens under UNRRA or the Greek Government until she feels that the work is satisfactorily concluded or until the end of the year, when this committee should again review the position'.
