Description | File containing correspondence relating to the Grehan Governor of the Bank of Ireland but also includes a letter from Cecily Gaisford St Lawrence to May Grehan, 3 May 1925, happily speaking about her pending marriage to Stevie, stating her concern that `I'm not nearly good enough for him', and how the engagement came as a surprise to her family, adding `I suppose we were a bit swift.' Also a letter, 25 March 1926, from Cecily to [?] telling of the birth of her son, Peter. She had not a difficult labour for a first baby, `I was only 4 1/2 hours bad' but she wishes Stevie had left the house during the labour as `it only gave him unnecessary distress for no good'. |
