| Collection Description | Boards of Health and Public Assistance were established under the Local Government (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923, in every county except Dublin where Boards of Guardians were extant until 1930. The Boards of Health and Public Assistance took over the functions of the Boards of Guardians and Rural District Councils. The Minute Books presented here contain records of meetings which treat of the various functions of the Board of Health and Public Assistance. [Cavan County Archives] |
